With over 20 years of experience in custom metal fabrication, Dean founded Fabrication Specialists in 2014 with a vision to blend precision engineering with creative design. He has built the company’s reputation for delivering architectural steelwork, bespoke staircases, and high-quality residential and commercial projects across Auckland.
Dean’s expertise lies in turning complex ideas into practical, beautiful solutions — from concept sketches through to finished installations. Clients value his collaborative approach, attention to detail, and ability to problem-solve even the most challenging design requirements.
As Head Designer, Dean is hands-on in every project, ensuring that craftsmanship and client satisfaction remain at the centre of the business.
When he’s not in the workshop, Dean enjoys exploring new design trends and making the most of life — whether that’s heading out on his boat, exploring the country in the caravan, or relaxing at the boat club with family and friends. Read a local profile on Dean and about his artwork.

Sarah wears many hats at Fabrication Specialists, from steering strategy and growth to keeping daily operations on track.
She makes sure the office runs smoothly, health and safety systems are solid, and the team has what they need to deliver top-quality steelwork.
With a corporate background, she’s skilled at balancing the big picture with the finer details, whether shaping direction or managing the systems that keep projects running.
Known for her straight-up approach and strong sense of care, she’s proud to lead a team that finishes what they start.
Outside work, Sarah enjoys gardening, yoga, and year-round swims at the local beach.

Craig keeps the wheels turning at Fabrication Specialists, making sure every project moves from plan to completion efficiently and to the highest standard.
With years of hands-on experience in steel fabrication, he knows the practical ins and outs of production, problem-solving on the fly and keeping the team on track.
Craig thrives on organisation, clear communication, and making sure everyone has what they need to succeed.
Outside work, he’s just as grounded — enjoying family time, a bit of fishing, and the occasional weekend adventure. His steady, can-do approach ensures projects run smoothly and clients get exactly what they expect.

Hayley is new to Fabrication Specialists taking up the role of Client and Estimating Coordinator. With a background in purchasing and operations Hayley brings an organised, practical approach to her work and enjoys helping things run smoothly.
Originally from Wales, UK but now well and truly a local coastie! She’s also a mum of two girls and a strong believer in maintaining a healthy balance between work and family. When time allows, she enjoys photography, creative projects, gardening, and making the most of our beautiful outdoors with hikes, camping and many beach walks.
