Our Standards & Accreditations

✅ AS/NZS 1554 Compliance

Structural steel welding to New Zealand standards. We design and fabricate all welded steel structures in conformance with AS/NZS 1554, the Australian/New Zealand standard for welded steel structures. This ensures your steelwork is fabricated using proven methods, appropriate materials, and quality processes.

Why it matters: AS/NZS 1554 covers everything from material selection to welding procedures to inspection protocols. When your fabrication conforms to this standard, you know it's been built using rigorous, proven methods.

Core Standard

✅ Producer Statements (PS1 & PS3)

Independent verification of compliance. We can provide Producer Statements on our fabrication work. PS1 certifies that fabrication has been completed in accordance with the Building Code. PS3 indicates that design has been completed by a licensed professional and fabrication has been verified as compliant.

Why it matters: When you need building consent or council approval, Producer Statements are your documentation that work has been completed to standard. They're the paperwork that protects your project.

Building Code Requirement

✅ Pipe Welding Certification (AS/NZS ISO 9606.01:2017)

Specialist qualification for pressure-critical work. Our team holds current AS/NZS ISO 9606.01:2017 pipe welding certificates, certifying our expertise in welding pipes and pressure vessels to international standards. This qualification is essential for any fabrication work involving pressurised systems or critical applications.

Why it matters: Pipe welding requires specialist skill and rigorous testing. These certificates prove our team has been independently assessed and verified to perform this work to the highest standard.

Specialist Certification

✅ ASME B.31.3 Pressure Testing

Qualified to pressure test pipes and pressure systems. We are qualified to pressure test piping systems to the ASME B.31.3 Standard (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). This certification demonstrates our capability to perform critical testing that ensures pipes and pressure vessels meet design specifications and safety requirements.

Why it matters: Pressure testing isn't something every fabricator can do. It requires specific training, equipment, and certification. This qualification ensures your pressure systems are tested by someone who knows what they're doing.

Technical Qualification

✅ Independent Weld Testing

Third-party verification where compliance demands it. For projects that require independent verification, we arrange certified weld testing through qualified independent laboratories. This provides objective, third-party confirmation that welds meet design and compliance specifications.

Why it matters: Sometimes your project requires independent verification. Rather than you having to source this separately, we handle it. The result is documented, tested, verified fabrication.

✅ Totika Accreditation

Independent verification of our quality management systems. Fabrication Specialists are Totika accredited, meaning our business, processes, and quality management systems have been independently assessed and verified against industry standards. This accreditation demonstrates we meet rigorous criteria for business practice and quality delivery.

Why it matters: Totika accreditation isn't something you get by default. It requires independent audit of your systems, your practices, and your track record. When you work with a Totika-accredited fabricator, you're working with a business that's been vetted by industry assessors.

Business Accreditation
